NitroxBlend is the most cost efficient program to use when partial pressure blending oxygen and air to get a desired Nitrox blend.  This program will calculate the most efficient pressures such that your use of Oxygen is minimized.  NitrxoBlend will ask you to input the existing oxygen concentration and pressure in the tank you wish to fill.  Next you input the final pressure and oxygen concentration you desire.  The program will then determine the most efficient means of reaching your desired tank by minimizing the amount of oxygen to add.  The ideal condition is to bleed pressure from your tank and then fill with air.  If this is not possible, the fill instructions the program gives you will optimize your procedure to ensure that you are not wasting oxygen.  Other programs on the market will tell you such silly things as removing so many psi of oxygen (like you can remove only oxygen and not nitrogen when reducing tank pressure), or it will require you to input oxygen to a pressure that is greater than the highest O2 cylinder in your oxygen bank.  NitroxBlend is a user and dive shop friendly software package that will pay for itself in the amount of oxygen that you will save.  In addition to helping the gas blender, NitroxBlend will also compute the maximum operating depths (MOD’s) for a partial pressure of 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 ata for both your starting tank and final tank concentration.
 

  DivePPC

For the Nitrox diver, it is critical to know your depth limits due to the oxygen content you’re breathing.  Likewise the diver needs to know how to relate his actual depth to the air tables all divers have been trained on.  For the Rebreahter diver, it this is carried one step further, the diver must know what oxygen content he is breathing since this will be different than the percentage of his mixed gas bottle.  DivePPC is useful for both the Nitrox diver as well as the semi-closed rebreather diver.  This program is specifically tailored to divers using the Drager Dolphin, but is useful to any enriched air diver.  The program provides conversions of actual depth to an equivalent air depth for the oxygen mixture the diver is using.  Knowing your depth and partial pressure limits are also key components to safe diving, DivePPC will provide depth and mixture limitations based upon O2 partial pressure values.  For the Drager Dolphin, the program will also provide the inspired O2 concentration as a function of the diver’s metabolic rate and the nitrox flow and mixture.  Also the amount of dive time available for a given flow nozzle is also given.   The calculation parameters can be customized by the user (for example, O2 mixture, flow rates, etc.).  Results are presented graphically, the scales of these graphs may also be customized by the user.
 

  GasBlendPPC

This program simplifies the design and analysis of a base
plates vessels or stack. The program can accommodate a single base plate or an anchor bolt chair. For base plates it can handle no gussets, one gusset per bolt, or two gussets per bolt. The program handles anchor chairs with segmented top plates, or continuous top plates with one or two gussets per bolt. Design of the plates, gussets, and local stress for the shell is performed

Cone

(US and Metric)  Version 1.6 
Cone design and analysis of shell transitions subjected to axial loading and bending moment. The program has a complete library of AISC Shapes, which can be selected from in order to design stiffening rings for the cylinder to cone junction. All calculations are based on "API RP 2A".

Guy Lug (Metric & English Units) Version 1.2 
Design a guy lug which serves as an attachment point from the guy wire to the stack. The design ensures that the lug itself is sized properly, as well as distributing the load into the stack shell. The program also performs dimensional checks to ensure that the spelter socket will fit on the lug that is designed.
Guy Wire (US and Metric) Version 1.3 
This program performs design of guy wires for stacks and towers. The program handles up to 10 sets of guy wires and 5 different geometric configurations. A library of structural strand, wire rope and all guy wire attachment hardware is included in the program. The program also calculates all parameters needed to verify guy wire tensioning by use of either a transit or sighting telescope.
Lifting Lug (Metric & English Units) Version 1.2
Design lifting lugs for a stack or vessel. The program is based upon two (2) lugs located 180 degrees apart. A check of the shear, bearing, bending, edge distances, and shackle clearance is made. The program also checks the loads on the lugs for all angles of lift from horizontal to vertical.
Plate

 (US and Metric) Version 1.4 
Plate performs analysis of flat plates subjected to various loading conditions.  All calculations are based upon "Roark's Formulas for Stress & Strain" 6th editions.  This program requires that the user have Microsoft Excel 97 installed on his PC.

Ring

(US and Metric) Version 1.6 
Ring performs design and analysis of rings subjected to various loading conditions. The ring is comprised of a thin shell section with or without a stiffening ring. Combined properties of all shell sections and AISC section stiffening rings are automatically calculated. All calculations are based upon "Roark's Formulas for Stress & Strain" 4th & 6th editions. The program operates in English or Metric units. This program requires that the user have Microsoft Excel 97 installed on his PC.

Saddle

(Metric & English Units)  Version 1.1 
Performs analysis of a horizontal vessel supported on two saddles. The program performs a complete analysis of the vessels based upon L. P. Zick'
s analysis procedure. The program allows the user to specify the wind load, thermal loads, liquid load, and seismic loads on the vessel. A complete analysis is also performed on the saddle, calculating stresses on bolts, baseplate, web, stiffeners, and wear plate.

Shell

(US and Metric) Version 1.5 
This program calculates all section properties for a cylindrical shell with multiple nozzle cutouts. The program checks all orientations of the shell geometry and locates the critical bending plane for the section. The allowable stress for buckling, local buckling and bending is calculated and compared to the actual stress in the section.

Stiffener

 Version 1.4
This program calculates the combined section properties of a cylindrical shell and a stiffening rig. A complete library of AISC shapes is available to be selected from for the stiffening ring. Program also provides a sketch depicting the stiffening ring/shell arrangement.

Structural  Flange

 Version 1.6 
Have you ever had to design a plate flange for structural loads?  Some examples of applications include derrick leg flanges, monopole flanges, and stack body flanges.  These types of flanges are often difficult to design because there is not a commonly accepted procedure for the design of these types of flanges.  STRUCFLG handles structural flanges either with or without gusset plates.  The program also considers the preload that should be placed on the bolt in order to keep the joint in compression.  Designing plate flanges has finally become very easy.

Tail Lug

 Version 1.3  (Metric & English Units)
Design a tailing lug for a stack or vessel. The tailing lug consists of a single lug on the top of the vessel with stiffeners to reduce local stresses in this shell. A check of the shear, bearing, bending, edge distances, shell local stresses, and shackle clearance is made. The program also checks the loads on the lugs for all angles of lift from horizontal to vertical.

Wind 93,95,98

 
This program calculates wind pressures per ASCE 7-95, 93 and 98 for any type of buildings and structures. It provides easy to use menu's for calculation of wind loads on buildings, vessels, sign, towers or any other type of structure. The output is clear and easy to follow with lots of sketches included. Note, this description covers three different programs, one for each year of the code.
